FAQs

Do you charge a monthly stipend?
No. HighPoint never seeks a stipend from a Partner in Care. Working in your Community is a privilege, and we treat it as such.

How can you afford to forego a stipend? What’s the catch?
There is no catch. We bill insurance companies directly, so we don’t need to nickel-and-dime our partners.

Is there any out-of-pocket cost to Residents?
There’s typically no cost to Residents, but it ultimately depends on their insurance coverage. Medicare Part B covers most of our costs. If the Resident has a secondary insurer, they usually cover any remaining costs. We are in-network with all the major insurers, so out-of-pocket fees are rarely an issue.

Does HighPoint accept Medicaid?
We accept all the MyCare Plans and Medicaid HMOs (e.g., Buckeye, CareSource, Molina, etc). If a Resident has Medicaid secondary, it’s no problem. If a Resident has Traditional Ohio Medicaid primary, they can receive services from HighPoint Psychiatry services but not HighPoint Counseling.

How often will your Providers visit our Community?
Your HighPoint Counselor will be on-site the same day(s) each & every week. The size of your caseload will determine the frequency of your psychiatric visits. Our smallest Communities get a visit every four-weeks like clockwork. Some large Communities get weekly psychiatric visits.

Do we have to use both HighPoint Counseling & HighPoint Psychiatry services or can we pick just one?
Our model of interdisciplinary behavioral health care is the best in the business, and we like to keep our team intact at all the Communities we serve. However, you are not obligated to use both services.

Do we need a contract with HighPoint Health?
Yes. State surveyors will want to see that you’ve secured behavioral health services for your Residents, and a contract is a good way to do that. Since there’s no money exchanging hands between us, we offer a simple & straightforward agreement.

What if we have an emergency with a Resident? Will HighPoint help?
Absolutely! If a crisis arises, just call our main phone line: (844) PSYCHED. When you select your Provider’s extension, your call will be transferred directly to that person’s cell phone. You can reach any Provider 24/7.

Do you direct-admit to psychiatric hospitals?
Although we have good relationships with multiple psychiatric units, we almost never resort to inpatient admissions. Together, HighPoint Counseling and HighPoint Psychiatry provide a high-level of multidisciplinary care so our Patients tend to be stable and well-managed. In the exceedingly rare event that an admission becomes necessary, we’ll pink-slip the Resident and coordinate with the staff at the nearest hospital.

How do we get started with HighPoint Health?
It’s simple: Just give us a call! We’d love to meet with you to discuss your Community’s needs. We can be reached at
(844) PSYCHED x3. That’s (844) 779-2433 x3.
